Build and Build

While there are a lot of options out there for buying BNB, shorting is a different story. Luckily for us here in Australia, we do have a few crypto brokers and exchanges that allow for CFDs and shorting.

One of those brokers is eToro, which we’ll be using for this guide. Let’s get started!

How to Short Build and Build in Australia

A quick recap first on what shorting actually is: The main objective of shorting or short selling is to make a profit (of course). The idea is to sell a stock/cryptocurrency hoping it will drop in value so you can buy it back later for cheaper, thus creating a net profit.

Shorting Build and Build can be done in 4 easy steps:

  1. Choose a crypto broker or exchange
  2. Create an account
  3. Fund your account
  4. Short Build and Build

1. Choose a crypto trading platform

As mentioned before, for this guide we’ll be using eToro as they offer the ability to short the most common cryptocurrencies.

You can, of course, use any other crypto broker to follow along, they all work very similarly.

2. Create an account on the cryptocurrency trading platform

Let’s start with just signing up with eToro.

Sign up with eToro

The sign-up process is very quick, as is the verification that needs to be completed afterwards so you can get started.

3. Funding your eToro account

Next is funding your account. You have several options when it comes to depositing AUD into your eToro Account. These include a bank transfer, credit card, debit card, PayPal, and more.

4. Short Build and Build

Now for the actual shorting:

  • Starting off at the search bar at the top, find Build and Build by entering the name or symbol.
  • Then on the crypto page/section, on the right side, hit the TRADE button to enter the trading interface.
  • At the top of the trading interface: Click on sell to short sell the stock.
  • Enter the amount for which you want to sell Build and Build and click on “Open Trade”.

Once you’re ready to close the trade, hopefully when the value of Build and Build has dropped, go to your Portfolio, find the Build and Build trade, and click on the red cross to close the trade.

If your assumption/prediction was right, then the profit will be added to your account after closing the trade. If you were wrong on the other hand, you’ll incur a loss which will be debited from your eToro account.

Congratulations, now you know how to short Build and Build!

About Build and Build

Binance Coin (BNB), is an exchange-based token created and issued in July 2017 by cryptocurrency exchange Binance. BNB was originally created on Ethereum blockchain in July 2017. It was then migrated to Binance Chain in February 2019. In that time, it became the native currency of Binance Chain.

Binance Coin has seen a huge increase in interest over the past years. BNB's price has appreciated through several token burning events, thereby allowing it to be ranked as one of the 10 most valuable cryptocurrencies according to market capitalization. BNB can now be traded on over 300 trading pairs and 120 exchanges.

Binance is the cryptocurrency exchange that Changpeng Zhao and He Yi founded in July 2017. Binance began as an Initial Coin offering (ICO) in July 2017. It has grown to become one of the top global cryptocurrency exchanges by market share and volume traded.

The Binance Exchange is divided into the Futures and Spot markets, as well the Binance DEX decentralized exchange.

BNB was created initially as part the Binance exchange's ICO. Binance states in their whitepaper that BNB is a native token that powers the Binance Chain and can be used to pay reduced fees on Binance's platform.

BNB has expanded beyond the original use cases and added cases that are not available on the Binance platforms. Here are some examples of BNB uses cases:

Lower Trading Fees: Users are entitled to 25% off if they pay their Binance trading fees via BNB.

Binance Account Tier: Users with Binance account balances and trading volume of 30 or more days above certain thresholds will be granted VIP tiers with discounts and perks.

Dust Conversion: Users can convert non tradeable amounts of various crypto currencies called dust from their Binance accounts into BNB.

IEO Lottery (Binance's Initial Exchange Offerings) (IEO Lottery) use lottery allocations that are determined by the BNB held in users.

Binance Chain Native Coin - Similar to how Ether is used on the Ethereum Blockchain to pay fees, BNB is used on the Binance Chain to pay fees. BNB is required in order to trade on Binance DEX.

BNB can be used as cryptocurrency. In addition to being used for Binance's platforms and gifts, BNB may also be used for payment in other ways like paying for travels, credit cards fees, and gifting. Here is the full list.

BNB may have additional uses, but you can generally use it like any other cryptocurrency to pay for goods or services provided the merchant accepts it.
